Field science, taught by the people who do it.
Set on the Suffolk coast at St Felix — one of England’s most beautiful coastal boarding schools — this fortnight blends classroom seminars, lab work and daily fieldwork in rock pools, salt marshes and a working harbour.
Tutors are practising marine ecologists and university researchers. Days end with sport, sea swims, choir practice or quiet reading in the school’s historic library — an authentic British boarding rhythm.

- Day01
Arrival & orientation
Met at Heathrow by our staff. Coach to St Felix, room allocation, welcome dinner and a guided campus walk at golden hour.
- Days02–04
Coastal ecology fieldwork
Rock-pool surveys, salt-marsh transects and intertidal sampling along the Southwold coast. Evenings: lab analysis and journaling.
- Day05
Conservation excursion
A full day at RSPB Minsmere with a guest curator from the Wildlife Trust. Bird-hide observation, habitat restoration.
- Days06–09
Independent project work
Students pair up to design and run a small original study under tutor supervision. Sports and arts afternoons through the week.
- Day10
Cambridge day-trip
A day in Cambridge: a guided college walk, the Sedgwick Earth Sciences Museum, and tea at a riverside boathouse.
- Days11–13
Final project & showcase
Project completion, poster preparation and a Friday showcase evening with parents joining by video link.
- Day14
Farewell & return
Goodbye breakfast, certificates, coach to Heathrow and the journey home with our chaperones.
