Safety & pastoral care

Care is the curriculum.

Every protocol, vetting check, and 3 a.m. helpline call is built on a single idea: your child should feel as held in Suffolk as they do at home.

Our safeguarding framework

Six pillars of care

A layered framework that combines the UK’s strongest school-safeguarding standards with our own India-side parent-liaison practice.

Vetted staff

Every chaperone and on-campus lead is DBS-checked and references-verified to UK boarding-school standards.

24/7 helpline

A real human, on both sides of the world. Parent helplines in India and UK with under-15-minute average response.

Pastoral check-ins

Daily wellbeing check-ins for every student, with structured one-to-one time with the programme lead each week.

Chaperoned travel

India-departure flights are chaperoned by experienced our staff with end-to-end airport-to-campus accompaniment.

Small group ratios

Programme groups are deliberately small — a 1:6 staff-to-student ratio that allows for individual attention.

Medical & insurance

Comprehensive medical and travel cover, plus a dedicated registered nurse on call at every host school.

What parents see

A communications cadence built for trust

You don’t need to ask for an update. You receive one every day.

Daily photo & note

A WhatsApp update every evening with a photo and short note from the coordinator.

Weekly call window

Pre-scheduled video-call windows that work with India time zones.

Mid-trip report

A written progress note from the programme lead at the half-way mark.

Closing showcase

A live-streamed showcase evening for parents, plus a written impact report.

In an emergency

A clear, rehearsed protocol — on both sides of the world.

If anything ever goes wrong, our protocol is deliberate, rehearsed and parent-first. The UK programme lead has direct access to the host school’s pastoral and medical teams; the India coordinator escalates within minutes.

  • Two named senior contacts (UK + India) for every cohort.
  • Pre-approved medical pathways at each host school.
  • Parental notification within 30 minutes of any incident.
  • End-of-programme debrief and written incident log for every trip.
